Titiyo, often referred to as the queen of Swedish soul, released in 2025 her first album in Swedish, “Hemland” (Sonet).

The album title is visualized through a dissected yellow cross, taken from the Swedish flag and at the same time shaped like the letter T, Titiyo’s initial. The symbol functions both as a claim of place and belonging, and as an image of what is perceived as an ongoing dismantling of the idea of what Sweden should be.
