November issue of Wallpaper* Thai. The theme of this issue was “The great escape” and our interpretation ended up in something like “same, same but different” where we used our own bespoke fonts for the Wallpaper* logotype along with the text: In a world where everything starts to look the same, tastes the same and feels the same.

The theme of the issue was “Problem-solver”. Highlighting the evolving and current situation in the world, the topic for this issue changed during the process to ” Emergencies”, to include the therapeutic function of design, and the innovation or thoughts created by emergencies, all from a developing and ongoing perspective. While exploring design solutions for the cover, we lived the actual problem-solving process.

The result became a cover consisting of 42 different sketches, showing how the creative process can lead to a variety of design solutions. For us, the cover symbolises the humility one can feel – both as a designer and a person – before the fact that solutions can look and communicate differently. At work, in life and for nations.
